Uncle Femzzzzyyy,
As I fondly call you, indeed this is a bitter medicine for me to swallow and digest while trying so hard to wrap my head around your demise….. it’s so impossible for me to believe you left just like that.
I chatted you up on the 25th of August just to hear from you and your response was a bit slow which was very unusual, you finally responded and said you were very sick and in the hospital and you told me Aburo, I came to London for something else and you caught COVID, went further to tell me there and then that and I quote, “I pray I make it through”. I screamed and cried and I immediately placed a call to say a word of prayer with you but you chatted me back that you couldn’t talk.
Then I chatted you back and said Uncle Femzzzyy please don’t die, reminding you of so many lives attached to you and you chatted back and said “Yes I know”. But you later bowed out to the call of your creator, obviously who are we to question the Almighty himself.
But why do good people die early???
I actually met you through Uncle Jibayo Adeyeye when you guys will come and meet me in the bank then so we discuss about financial stuffs. And right there and then you took me as your sister, even when my family and I relocated to the US, you still do not hesitate to call and check on us when you were around in the US despite your busy schedules .
Uncle Femmzzzyy you were so intelligent, selfless, a good advisor, mentor, caring father and husband, cheerful ( it is never a dull moment with Uncle Femzzy) and of all lover of God.
I have refused to mourn you as I take solace in the fact that you are with the Lord and for me as a Christian it’s a ‘GOODNIGHT’ for now. See you at the resurrection morning God’s beloved .
I pray that the Lord will uphold and strengthen your wife, your beautiful daughters, family, friends and colleagues in this trying time. Amen
Your memories forever lingers Uncle Femmmzzzzyy….
