so hard to comprehend. all the pictures look so so fresh to me. I just heard about your passing Femi, 3yrs after. I was bragging to my accountant in the office that a Delloitte Akintola Williams partner is my friend and i was referring to your idea of tax control and exposure you had advised me against 16yrs ago. Mr Aladejobi just told me of your passing and honestly, it crushed me sincerely. took time to read about all your achievements and pet talk now and i can't control tears down my cheek. COVID na bastard oloun. i met you back then in Texaco and you were so so young. infact, i didnt believe you were the account mgr seconded by AA Consulting to the firm at the time and i have had tremendous advise from you that still works even in death.

who are we to ask God questions? may God rest your beautiful soul my dear friend.

may the good Lord keep your family. RIP F-AB

Today, I celebrate the birth of a special gift, a tremendous impact, who even in death, still guides on how to live.

His third post humous birthday, thus, no festivity or the special message of prayer I miss so much of “God bless you Basirat”.

A former boss who continued to nudge me to further professional development even after I left the firm. In his words, “challenges are meant to always come and be overcome”

A seasoned technocrat, great mentor, dependable friend and confidant.

Grateful for your time here, grateful for the gift of your guidance and subsisting positive impact.

Keep resting Olufemi Abegunde (F-Ab).

How times fly! So, now it's 2 years since you left but the vacuum you left behind is still there. It's still so surreal but the emptiness is a reminder. If your colleagues feel this way, I wonder what your family is going through with the daily constant reminder? May the good Lord continue to keep the family you left behind under the shadow of his able wings. Rest on in peace, Femi.

How time flies. I met Femi Abegunde at Lagos Business School. Femi was a jolly good fellow, a personality endowed with large heart for kindness and love to lend a helping hand. If he had his way, he help the whole world and replicate in others his wealth of professional experiences and knowledge. He loved God too- was always conscious of his standing with God.

Sleep on Femi, will always remember your counsels.

I worked for Femi when he was the Partner for Energy and Resources at KPMG. He was a kind and lovely person. I cherish the memories of working with such a great team under him and was shocked to learn the news of his passing. May his gentle soul rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the loved ones left behind. May God comfort you all. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
I met Femi when I was a staff accountant in Arthur Andersen back in December 1997.  He was on loan from Arthur Andersen to Texaco Nigeria as CFO at the time.  He had achieved so much by then, I had no idea that he was so young. I pray that God will grant his family the fortitude to bear this huge loss.

I am so sorry to hear about the untimely demise of Femi, fondly known as Baba to so many of us who passed through Arthur Andersen (now KPMG).

Femi was my first boss as Partner of the Energy group I was assigned to when I joined AA. It was a tough group to be in with grueling hours and difficult, challenging assignments, and yet he was able to superintend over the group and hold the reins of what was quite a tough role, and to think he was relatively young but able to still hold the fort! He had a great sense of humour and was brutally honest with me about my work which I realise was his way of getting me to do better (tough love!). I lost touch with him when I left the firm. I am glad I got the opportunity to speak with him a few years back when I learnt he had been ill from Olumide Esan and immediately requested that he call him so I could speak with him.

I am so impressed by his achievements even after he left the firm (always tough to make a transition) and more importantly, his achievements with his daughters, given his hectic schedule. He was indeed larger than life with a big heart and embraced life fully as testified by so many!

My deepest condolences to his loved ones especially his dear wife, daughters and siblings. It is a big loss and still so surreal. We pray God’s comfort and peace upon them and indeed upon us all who knew him! May his dear soul rest in perfect peace🙏🏽

Femi your exist brought the greatest shock to me in recent memories and will be very difficult to overcome. Attending your funeral brought some consolations amidst very high emotions considering how many lives you impacted positively and much you achieved  professionally, socially and across circle of friends. I pray for God to have mercy on your soul and grant you eternal rest. I also pray for God to be with your family and console all of us that are grieving at this time. Sleep on my brother and friend until the day of Christ.
Haaaa!!! This came as a rude shock. You were such a hardworking man, very caring, loved family life. May God rest your soul. It is well with your wife and your beautiful daughters. Eyin yin a da o.

My condolences to Femi's family. I first met Femi in Andersen in the 1990s. A very calm and confident individual.  My deepest condolences to Femi’s sister Bukky who was among my 1991 cohort in AA. May God strengthen you and your family.
