Faye's obituary

Faye Stewart-Boykin was born to Wilson Leroy Stewart, Jr. and Shelvia Jackson Stewart in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 27, 1944. She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Faye was a spirited, generous woman who was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Faye lived in many places during her life including El Paso, TX, Alexandria, VA, Oxen Hill, MD, and Houston, TX, but her two favorite places in the world are Galveston, TX and the Bluffs on the Southern University campus in Baton Rouge, LA.

Faye is survived by her two sons, Jerald Leonard Boykin, Jr (Trista) Castle Rock, CO and Jeffrey Lawrence Boykin Baker, LA in union with Jerald Leonard Boykin, Sr. Bay Minette, AL.

Faye was blessed with three grandchildren, Keisha Marie Boykin, Brandon Michael Boykin, and Kendall Christopher Boykin and great grandchild Jileyla Claire Boykin.

Faye is also survived by five siblings Charles Leroy Stewart, Carmichael CA. Wilson Leroy Stewart III, Baton Rouge, LA, Betty Gail Stewart Camble, Baton Rouge, LA, Deborah Rose Stewart Walker, Glyndon, MD and Jennifer Dale Stewart Jenkins, Baton Rouge, LA.

Faye is survived by her only surviving aunt Mable Jackson Simmons Houston, TX.

Faye is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins, too numerous to name individually but loved so much by Faye in her life.

Faye was proceeded in death by her parents Wilson Leroy Stewart, Jr. and Shelvia Jackson Stewart.
