Mrs. Lonnette McBride Mead, age 82, of Vidalia, died Saturday afternoon, December 19, 2020 at her residence after an extended illness. Lonnette was a native and lifelong resident of Vidalia. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vidalia.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matt Mead in 2016.

She is survived by her husband, Talmadge Mead of Vidalia; two daughters, Cindy Skaggs (Jim) of Statesboro, and Lisa Conley (Mark) of Statesboro; and one daughter in-law, Heather Mead of Vidalia. Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lonnette McBride Mead will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Glenn Waters officiating. Interment will follow at North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on the day of the service from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in her name to the North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 404 Ralph Thompson Road, Vidalia, GA 30474.

Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
