Faye's obituary

Faye King, age 58, passed away peacefully at home on July 6th 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends after a courageous 14 year battle with cancer.

Faye  was a fighter in every sense of the word — resilient, spirited, and full of love that she shared freely. Even in the face of great challenges, she lived with strength, humor, and deep care for those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Clarence King; her beloved children;  Stephen Hughes, Kristina and her Husband Dennis Dingle, Marques his wife Maegen Davis, Dave and Sheila King and and her cherished grandchildren Brennan Baker, Olivia Sawyer, Billy Dingle, Kyhia, Javaughn , Jazelle and Jhene Davis, Izaiah , Imani Davis, Kayla, Kyra, Lilly and David King.  She is also survived by her brothers annd sisters Deborah Case, Leslie Peer, Carolyn Groom, David Beasley, Ruth Anne Dinenno, James Spicer, Duane Peer, DeVere Peer Jr. , DeAnne Allers, Danielle Olds, her father DeVere Peer Sr. and a wide circle of extended family and friends whose lives were deeply touched by her presence. Faye was preceded in death by her son John and her mother Carrie,  whom she now joins in peace.

Faye’s life was filled with laughter, bold honesty, and fierce love. She loved good conversations, diving, travel, strong coffee, and the people she held closest to her heart. Her presence was a comfort, her strength was an inspiration, and her legacy will live on in every life she touched.

The family would like to thank all who supported Faye during her illness — especially the those who helped make her final days peaceful and dignified.
