In memory of our sweet neighbor who passed away this year we have thought of her often. At the funeral, they gave us the chance to spread glitter in her memory.
We spread it in:

Not only was Fawna our neighbor, she was our ward primary leader too. She was so passionate about music and theater. She was so willing to help anyone. She was a light that is missed.
My kids really loved her and still talk about her.
Thank you for your example Fawna. You are remembered and loved.
This post is linked to a memory file for Fawna to give love to the family.

Fawna was one of the most talented and intelligent people I have ever met in my life! She will forever have a special place in my heart. I loved her so much! Our time together performing at Lagoon, Bountiful High School and The Triad Center I will never forget.

Love and hugs to the Gilettes and Betensons. Juliann talked about all the incredible accomplishments of her sister, Fawna. I was privileged to watch her perform at Hale Center Theater. I hope the wonderful memories of Fawna will sustain and comfort you and your family at this difficult time. ❤️ Debbie Matheson, neighbor of Betensons

I took a singing lesson from Fawna in my teen years. I have always remembered and, to this day, still think often about a piece of advice she gave me during that lesson: sing everywhere! In the car, in the shower, etc. practice whenever possible.
When I think of Fawna I remember her high energy, smile, and enthusiasm for life, and particularly, for the arts. I even remember watching and learning about the significance of the West Side Story film in her home. Very sad to hear of her passing. She will be missed

First memory I want to share:
There was a 2-3 year period in college where I went over to her place almost every Monday to watch whatever Bachelor franchise was playing or DWTS with her. She would always cook a delicious meal, want to play a game, and show me some funny snl skits or amazing dances from SYTCD. Many of my friends know and love Fawna as she was always happy to have anyone join us. I remember one time my car was unfortunately towed and she paid for it because she was scared I wouldn’t want to come back. I love Fawna and I miss her so much. I wish I could go back to these days!

Fawna was very involved when Jasmine was in school at Foothill Elementary with me and volunteered to help out with the Knowledge Bowl, which Jasmine and I were both a part of. It was during this time that Fawna introduced me to the wonderful world of musicals. She was so passionate about it and it was so contagious that I fell in love with musicals, too. I remember distinctly going to her house and watching the concert version of Les Miserables. That was my first introduction to Les Mis and my life would never be the same! I own a copy of it now and it always makes me think of her. Rest in peace, Fawna, I am so grateful that you were always so willing to share your enthusiasm and passion for music and life. You definitely enriched my life! You will be missed!

My favorite memory of Fawna was how passionate & proud she was about her kids. I remember Jasmines senior year… and our girls were performing together in the Shakespeare competition. She was so determined to come down to Cedar City with us to watch them compete… even though the timing was crazy/awful for her. So many things happened to delay her, trying to keep her from coming. But she persevered. She arrived late late that night and we stayed up in our room getting stuff ready for the competition the next day and talking about our wonderful daughters and just life. It ended up being a wonderful weekend and I’m grateful that she was able to be there.
