February 1954 – May 2025

Favio Camacho, 71, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 24, 2025, after a courageous journey with cancer.

Favio was a beloved father, and brother — remembered for his warmth, generosity, sharp wit, and deep love for his family. Born in Trujillo, Peru, he earned his Engineering degree in Chemistry from the University of Trujillo, Peru. He later made Maryland his home, where he married, and raised 3 beautiful kids.

He is survived by his children, Fernando, Kelly, Susy; his spouse for 21 years, Yolanda; his siblings Ivan, Pepe, Rocio, Eduardo, Angelica; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family members in the United States, and Peru.

Favio found joy in his family, music, photography, electronics, mentoring and guiding the next generation in the right direction. His strength through illness was a reflection of his love for his family and his desire to stay present in every moment.

A memorial service will be held at Seven Locks Baptist Church (11845 Seven Locks Road, Potomac, MD 20854), on 13th if July at 2:00pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. Please kindly RSVP so we can plan for refreshments.
