I was devastated when i heard that Dr. Mrs. Quist had passed away. I first met her in 2017 at a funeral in the Silver Spring, Maryland area. She was so warm and welcoming as if we had known each other for years. Our relationship evolved and got stronger over the years. We would later find out that she and my mom came from the same village in Ghana. Since then, she referred to me as her little sister. We continued our relationship even after she moved to Ghana and asked me to become one of the board members of AID Lepers, Ghana, an NGO dedicated to eradicating leprosy in Ghana.
Mama Faustina encouraged me to take on leadership role in the Ewe Association of Washington DC Inc, an organization that she presided over when we met in 2017. She promised to be there as a mentor. Just when l assumed the position of president of the association this past December and was looking forward to her mentorship, the cold hands of death would steal her from us!
Mama Faustina, your charm, your strong voice and commitment to our association lives in our hearts. We will continue to honor your legacy by involving ourselves more and doing whatever it takes to make our community stronger.
Rest in peace

Dr. Quist was a dear friend right from the time I joined Rock terrace school. She was very supportive to me, other staff and students. I was shocked to hear this sad news. I do miss her very much. May God rest her soul in peace . May God grant strength to the family to bear this loss. You will always be remembered for your goodness and will remain in our hearts. 🙏🏻🌹

I first met Dr. Quist when I was only the new kid in 2007 and being a graduate in 2016. Back then, when I was going through some struggles & some sad time during my childhood, the only person who made my day better by talking things through with stuff is Dr. Quist herself. Not only she showed caring for students, but she had made such an impact on everyone's lives. Including myself. Thank you, Dr. Quist, for everything that you had done & for believing in me when I was going through struggles.

Sometimes words failed to capture the pain of losing a dear loved one to death. Let’s look forward to the time when words will also fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly father return your dear loved one to you, First John 5:28 and 29. May you also find comfort in knowing that your dear loved one is safe in the memory of God who will remember every wonderful detail about her…. please accept my deepest condolences and sympathy.🙏🏽💐
