Robyn and Family, You worked so hard to take care of her during her long cancer battle. Sending you air hugs. ///

Fannie, With knowledge and wisdom gained from your elders and ancestors, you encouraged students of all ages and backgrounds, native and non-native, to learn Iñupiat history and to be comfortable speaking Iñupiaq. You provided welcoming and engaging experiences for students of all ages and backgrounds in classes indoors, outside or on KBRW. I enjoyed working with you on many projects including the film about traditional medicinal and edible plants, on projects in support of the Iñupiat Heritage Center and the promotion of local tourism from the perspective of the Iñupiat. The love of your family, your fine sewing skills, prowess at Eskimo dancing and your love for God -- you shared those too. The world is emptier without your determined, generous spirit and easy laughter. I am just one of many who will miss you forever. Quyanaq for everything. Rest in peace, Kuutuuq. With love, Qaummaluk xxoxo

My condolences to all members of her family who will miss her wonderful, wise presence. I worked with her on curriculum development for many years as a visiting consultant to the NSBSD. She always welcomed me and helped me see how some aspect of the Inupiaq culture she carried could be infused into teaching in every subject, every day. She was a true language warrior and natural teacher that I feel blessed to have been inspired by and learned from.

Condolences to the family of Kuutuuq. She was a caring person and always Pagla those she knew.
Fannie touched my heart in more ways than I could ever find the words to share. She embodied the essence of a teacher in the depths of her soul. She taught me to wait and to listen and to let learning unfold. Not to force that process. She made me laugh until my belly hurt and my cheeks ached. I will always carry a piece of her in my heart. Thank you for helping me to be the teacher I am today and sharing your beautiful culture and energy with me during my years at Ilisagivik College. Much love to Fannies entire family ❤️
