Fairlena McDaniel, beloved mother, friend and daughter passed on December 7th, 2022 at Baptist Health in Lexington, Ky. A native of Stanton, Ky, daughter of the late Ellis and Sara Dunn McDaniel, sister of James "Bubby" McDaniel, his wife, Cynthia, and nephew Daniel McDaniel; youngest brother, Douglas McDaniel. She was formerly married to the late William Taylor and the strongest mother in the world to William Thomas Taylor II and Martina Taylor. She brought so much joy and fun into all the lives she touched. She moved to Lexington when she was young and spent the majority of her career with the VAMC as a surgical technician until she retired. She loved working there because she was able to be around so many different walks of life and learned so much. Thank you to all her friends and family during this time, especially her sister-in-law, Cynthia McDaniel who has been the cornerstone of her family. She was so blessed to have such wonderful friends.  A special thanks to Lisa Johnson and Dr. Tina De la Cruz for all of your support and love. Thank you also to Judy Deaton Barker and her family. She loved them all so much and had so much fun traveling and being a part of your family. She was surrounded by the best in care from the ICU team at Baptist Health, her best friends and family. Her sweet soul, smile and laughter will forever be missed. There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life in the Spring of 2023.
