Granny usually had a smile on her face. Once, on vacation, she taught me and my sister a silly jingle that's remained in my heart since then:
Pepsi cola hits the spot
Twelve full ounces, that's a lot.
Twice as much for a nickle too
Pepsi cola is the drink for you.

How wonderful it must feel knowing your mother is up there surrounded by babies and children nestling up to her. She’s truly in heaven.

Cindy, Celeste and family, I'm so sorry for your loss, but so glad that she is no longer suffering. She was such a beautiful person and had such a love for the Lord, her family and children. As you know, we have had multiple family members work for and attend Eastgate Preschool, including my own boys, who benefited greatly from their education there. I know that you will miss her terribly, but that you have the hope and promise of seeing her again. What a beautiful tribute you all wrote. I loved reading more about her life and seeing all of the pictures. I forgot how much Celeste looks like her grandma! I will be praying for you all as you grieve and miss her. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the celebration of life, but will be thinking of you all.

Faye invested quite a lot of time talking with me during formative days as we sat in the basement and folded laundry together. She was a kind, encouraging person in my life.
