Background
Help my brother and I grant my mom's final wishes, create closure, and remembrance through telling her beautiful life story. Donations will help us to cover the costs of the memorial, obituary costs, travel to fulfill her wishes, possible stateside niche placement, and a general ease on our finances as we move through the process of grief.
She asked to be returned to Samoa. We are going to have a memorial for her, publish an obituary, and have part of her ashes forged into jewelry for my siblings, including my brother Alan (CA, US), our sister Elsie (Samoa), and Julie (NZ). Also, necklaces for any grandchildren (Owen, Roland) who are interested.
I am hoping to travel to Samoa in 2026, per her wishes. I will take her remains to Samoa and return her home. On this trip, I will meet with my sisters (and her daughters) Julie in NZ and Elsie in Samoa.
I have been researching placing part of her cremated remains in a niche at a columbarium in Northern CA for future generations of our family to visit.
The memorial will take place on Sunday, Feb. 22nd at The Four Star Theater in San Francisco, CA. We are planning to tell her story, open the floor to loved ones, celebrate our Samoan heritage, and do what she always wanted - be together. Contribute
