Evelyn's obituary
Evelyn (Frank) Wolfe of Port Orange, FL passed away peacefully in her home on May 28, 2023, at the age of 94. She was born in Trenton, NJ and grew up in Hamilton Twp, NJ.
She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1946.
She worked for 25 years as an administrative professional in the biology department of Princeton University and ran the graduate program, as well as being administrative support to several professors.
After retiring from Princeton University, she moved to Port Orange and was actively involved in many social clubs including the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Elks, the Moose and the VFW of Port Orange. Here she established close friend groups and was able to engage in her lifelong love of dancing.
Evelyn was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Church and volunteered at Our Lady of Hope Thrift Store for many years during her retirement.
She was a beautiful, caring mother to 4 children and loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Evelyn lived life to its fullest, traveling and fearlessly embracing new adventures. She was truly an amazing role model and a dedicated, selflessly giving person who was cherished by family and friends. She will be immensely missed by all.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Dominick Frank and Myrtle (Maguire) Frank and her sister Naoma (Frank) Dorety of Hopewell, NJ.
She is survived by her children: Patricia Wolfe and husband Graham Snell, John Wolfe and wife Joanne Wolfe, Greg Wolfe, Stacey Roche and husband George Balla; her grandchildren: Tara Wolfe, Corynn Cook, Bryan Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Heather Wolfe, Arianna Wolfe, Shane Roche and Madison Roche; great grandchildren: Isla, Maya, Koen, Dommie, Dontae, Kayden, Lily and Ally. She is also survived by her nephews Jeffrey Dorety and wife Leanne Dorety, Chris Dorety and Arthur Dorety III.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at Our Lady of Hope, 4675 S Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL 32129 on June 13, 2023, at 8:30am.
