I am the Power of Attorney for my mom and her sister Evelyn J. Walker.
My mom died November 11, 2020 in Dallas, Texas where I reside too. She had no burial plan or funds, so my sons and I are having to assume those cost.
I arrived here at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Prescott, Arkansas six day ago where my aunt, mom's sister, resides, because of her declining health. Since that time, I had to place my aunt under hospice care.
This morning November 22, 2020, I was notified that my aunt and mom's oldest sister Evelyn Walker just died.
Now, my aunt's death occurs almost two weeks later and she also lacks a burial plan or funds. My aunt was not married nor did she have any children. Because of the financial burden the death of my mom and aunt has placed on my sons and I, we are reaching out to family, friends, and strangers for help. This isn't something we take lightly nor feel entirely comfortable with, but after much prayer and counsel, we decided to undertake. Our goal is to attempt to raise $3200 within 48 hours to cover cremation expenses and a virtual memorial for both my mom and my aunt. Hopefully that which I was unable to do while they were alive which was to get them in the same place at the same time for a reunion. I can do in death through a joint virtual memorial service.
As I conclude the reason for the Fundraiser, I ask for your prayers, alms, and understanding in our time of bereavement. But when it's all said and done, I will look to "THE LORD GOD IS MY HELPER AND COMFORTER IN MY TIME OF NEED!" Contribute
