The news, it just… it hit me like a wave. It was hard to believe , my dearest Silayo. Even now, with this ache in my heart, I'm just so incredibly grateful. Grateful for that day 22 years ago when our paths first crossed, grateful we stayed in each others lives all these years. I thank God for our friendship, but more than anything, I thank Him for the gift of you and who you were.

Silayo was beautiful, smart, hardworking , artistic, passionate she was a good good person with a great heart and when she smiled at you, you couldn't help but smile back. She loved dancing and was a good dancer, she appreciated music, good food, she loved being outdoors in nature, she appreciated it and found her peace there. She loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

Silayo had this incredible way of seeing people, understanding people, of taking people under her wing and making them feel like family. This is just a tiny peek into the amazing person she was. Your legacy lives on in the countless lives you touched, the hearts you healed, and the love you shared. And for that, and for you, I will forever thank the Lord 🙏
