I’ve taken some time to sit in this new reality, and sharing this note makes it real. It’s something I knew I would have to do, but I needed a moment to let it sink in… it is real, it is happening.

For over 22 years, my mom dedicated her life as a companion caregiver. She gave not just care, but friendship, comfort, and compassion, touching the lives of countless people along the way. In the last two years of her life, she began offering visits to those who had no family or regular visitors—simply showing up to make sure they felt seen, valued, and not alone. That was Evelyn—she always showed up for others.

To honor her life and continue her legacy, we created Evelyn’s Care & Compassion Fund. This fund will support caregivers with small acts of appreciation, like meals or a day out, and provide visits, gifts, and companionship for people who may not have family—just as my mom did every day.
