In the 90s, when first met Mr. Nelson (through Sarah), the first question he asked me was, “Do you know Jesus?!” I wasn’t really sure how to answer since I was a little surprised. So he said, “Well do you?” At the time, I couldn’t say that I really did, at least not in a serious way. He told me to keep coming over and I would get to know Jesus. I did just that and the rest is history! I thank God for all the times Mr. Nelson allowed me to come to their house and squeeze into the car to ride with them to church for Bible Study at Faith World on Wednesday nights. For it was during one of those trips that my life was forever changed through a real encounter with Jesus. I’ll never forget Mr. Nelson and I’ll forever be grateful for the impact he had on my life.
My continuous love & prayers to the whole family❤️

I had never really experienced having a dad in my home and my best friend (Naomi) invited me over to her home , I was 14 when I met Evangelist Willie Nelson , He walked in from the back yard and Naomi said Nastasshi this is my Dad , I was terrified hahahahaha!!! Because Mr. Nelson’s eyes would look through your soul!!! He then said Who are You?!! In a stern voice and I answered He then said you won’t something to eat?! And I saw Jesus in those same eyes. I was immediately intrigued and honored to be in Mr. Nelson’s presence . He was the first man in a home that I seen love there family and love God with every OUNCE of Him . I would love to hear Him talk about music, and His love for God through writing and playing worship songs that were even before his time. He was a rare jewel and Diamond in the rough and because of Him and Mrs. Nelson there children were just as special. Going through my young adult years the Nelson’s were my happy place in my mind. Mr. Nelson was was one of the people in my life who felt like A dad, An Older Brother, My Uncle and My friend all in one. I always wanted a dad like him. He will always be one of my top five favorite people. To The Nelson Family I love you all Dearly and I am sorry for your loss. When I met you guys you had no idea what I was enduring at such a young age but your Dad and Mom and you all welcomed me when you already had a house full of Kids. I’ll never forget it thank you all! Thank you All so much! Mr. Nelson I know heaving is Rejoicing!!!!! Your Legacy, laughter, love , prayers and your music will Live on!!!!!!!!!
Nomi: I love you and I’m here🎀
Smile , Job well Done……..✝️🙏🏽

I remember Mr. Willie leading praise and worship at my grandpa's church (Christian Center Church) when I was a child. I always wanted to go play at the Nelson's house after church because I always had fun there. My sincere condolences to the Nelson family. What a great reunion he is having right now. I can almost hear he and my dad (Randy Willis) cuttin' up as they always did when they were together. Love yall and praying for yall.❤
