Good Morning Mother,

I really, really miss you! And with every passing day, it gets harder and harder without you! 
I miss you so much it hurts.  I miss our talks, our shopping the second-hand stores and department stores. I miss seeing your face and hearing your beautiful voice.  I miss going out to breakfast/lunch/dinner after church service or any events, where we just wanted to ride out and chill. I just really miss your words of encouragement and your wise words of wisdom.

These last few days without you have been sad. Very sad for me! I do know you are in a better place, resting, free of pain, and that you are with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You have your heavenly crown, and you are with loved ones.
  
I feel like this is all a bad nightmare that I can't wake up from and that when I do wake up, you’ll be there telling me how ridiculous this all sounds. I keep thinking that you’re on a long vacation somewhere, and you’ll be home any day. I still look for you.  I still want to pick up the phone to call you or for you to be available for a facetime video call.

The last few days have been very difficult struggling with your death.  More than anything, all that I want to do is cuddle up in your arms and have you hold me like you did when I was younger. Days are hard, nights are harder. Birthdays and Holidays will never be the same. Just knowing, I’ll never hear you tell me Happy Birthday again; that you’ll never be here for Christmas again, that was my favorite holiday! As you would always say “ABSOLUTELY!”

Why did you have to go, mom? Why did you have me? Why did God choose you? I guess the question you ask me, “Why did God take Christ Jesus?” It’s like I have been robbed in life. Robbed of all the things you should be here for, of all the things we need to talk about.  I still need your support, your encouraging words, telling me everything is going to work out and be okay. I need your guidance, your strength, and your opinion about life itself.  It hurts my heart to know that you will never see the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up, get married, and have a family of their own. I could never grasp what you meant when you’d tell me, “When you lose your mom, you lose your best friend, until I lost you. I never understood just how hard this would be.

Even though I know I’ll see you again someday, that doesn’t ease the pain I feel daily.  It doesn’t stop the tears from falling or the piece of my heart that has been torn away.  You took a lot of me with you when you left. The moment I realized, you stopped breathing, I lost myself.  I am not the same person I used to be before your death here on earth. I am trying my best to find myself again, but it’s so hard to be without you. I know you will always be here watching over me as my angel. I know Heaven is beautiful; that it’s everything you ever imagined it would be.  Say hello to your mom and dad, your sisters, and my sister, Mary Catherine, and other family members.

I pray that you didn’t suffer in those final moments, and I pray that you’re healthy and happy.  I am going to miss you every single day for the rest of my life.  I love you always and I’ll forever miss you.
