Eugene "Gene" Richards, of Fernley, NV, peacefully passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 85. Eugene was born on August 20, 1937, in Sacramento California to Richard and Mary Ellen Richards. After graduating from Grant High School, he joined the Air Force, married the love of his life Phyllis Palmer. They lived on Air Force bases from Texas to the Philippines back to California all while raising children, Judy, Mary, Gene and Tracy.  Eugene worked many years as a mechanic and retired from Goodyear in management. Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved wife Phyllis, his parents Richard and Mary Ellen, siblings Denise and Margie and his niece Jennifer. Eugene is survived by his children, Judy Jones (Ken) Mary Richards (Alex), Gene Richards (Monica) and Tracy Menezes (Darrin) with 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, his 3 sisters and multiple nieces and nephews.
