Eugene Earl Mead, age [88], passed away on January 10, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas. A native of Southern California, Gene spent the last 15 years as a resident of New Braunfels, where he was a cherished member of the community.
Gene proudly served eight years in the U.S. Navy as a Second Class Electronics Technician from 1955 to 1958. During his service, he spent two years aboard the USS Okanogan, where he was responsible …
