Roy's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Roy Bond, a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend to all whose lives he touched, on October 2, 2023. He left us peacefully at the age of 94.
Born on January 4, 1929 to Homer and Florence Bond both deceased. Roy lived a remarkable life, characterized by resilience, compassion, and unwavering love for his family. His warmth, generosity, and courageous spirit will be deeply missed by those who had the honor of knowing him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Patricia Bond; his cherished daughters, Salli(Mike) Smith and Shawn(Patrick)William, stepdaughter Kim Johnson, and his devoted sons, Micheal(Linda) Bond, stepson Richard James(Jim) Cowham, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roy was preceased in death by his first wife, Patricia Dawn Bond, and their beloved daughter, Shari McAllister. Roy's memory will be carried on in the hearts of his surviving family, a testament to the beautiful life he led.
Roy's love of teaching will be remembered by his 30 plus years of teaching, most of them spent in the Battle Creek school system.
Roy's endearing legacy will continue to inspire his family and friends. His life was a testimony of resilience, love, and kindness which will be etched in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
May his soul rest in eternal peace and his memories continue to guide and provide comfort to all who loved and cherished him. His life was a gift, his memory a treasure. He is loved beyond words and will be deeply missed beyond measure.
