It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved Etenesh Kebede (54). The world has suffered a great loss.

On the evening of Friday, March 5, 2021, Etenesh’s life was suddenly taken from us due to domestic gun violence committed by her estranged husband (who also lost his life that same evening) in her home.

Etenesh was born and raised in Tembien, Tigray (in Northern Ethiopia). After fleeing from a country divided by civil war, she escaped to Sudan where she lived as a refugee, with her daughter. In September 1993, she came to the United States in search of a better life. Etenesh and her family settled in Seattle, Washington, where she would go on to raise her children and be an integral member of her community.

Etenesh had a graceful spirit and a smile so contagious that she brightened every room she entered. She was widely revered as being charismatic and could make strangers feel welcome. An incredibly kind and caring woman, Etenesh exemplified beauty and strength. She dedicated her life to God, her family, and her community.

Etenesh is survived by her: three children Fetle Gebreziabher (29), Dawit Gebreziabher (26) and Amanuel Gebreziabher (19), stepson Andualem Gebreziabher, mother Mulubrhan Hailu, and brothers Abraha Abera, Tesfu Abera and Mehari Abera.

አብ ሲያትል ኸተማ አትነብር ዝነበረት ሐፍትና እቴነሽ ከበደ አዚዩ ብዘህዝን ናይ ሓዳር ባእሲ አብ ገዝአ እንተላ ብበዓል ገዝአ ብሽጉጥ ተሃሪማ ብእለት March 5 2021 ካብዚ ዐለም ብሞት ተፈልያትና :ኸምኡውን አብታ እዋን እዚአ ባአል ገዝአ እውን ህወቱ ሓሊፉ ::

እቴነሽ ከበደ ጥዕምቲ ውርዝይቲ ተፃዋቲትን ሰሐቂትን ፈታዊት ሰብን ተፈታዊትን ብጣእሚ ንፍዕቲ አዶ እያ ነይራ ::

እቴነሽ ከበደ አብ ትግራይ ተምብየን ዓብይ ዓዲ ተወሊዳ : አብ ዓዲና ብዝነበረ ኹናት ናብ ሱዳን ምስተሰደደት ብ1993 ብፈረንጂ ናብ አመሪካ ኸተማ ስያትል መፂአ : አብ ሐዳራ ኾይና ደቃ ተዕቢ ነይራ:: እቴነሽ ከበደ ሰለስተ ደቃ : ፍተለ ገብረእግዚእብሄር : ዳዊት ገብረእግዚእብሄር : አማኑኤል ገብረእግዚአብሄር : ከምኡውን ኸምውሉዳ ትፈትዎን ትሪኦን አንድአለም ገብረእግዚእብሄር : ኸምኡውን ብወላዲታ ወ/ሮ ሙሉብርሃን ሃይሉ : ብአሕዋታ አይተ አብርሃ አበራ : አይተ ተስፋይ አበራ : አይተ ምሓሪ አበራ ንድሕሪት ገዲፋ ትዝከር ኸምኡውን አብ ሙሉእ ህዝቢ ሲያትል (Seattle) ልቢ እናተዘኸረት ትነብር::

ነዛ ብዝሕዝን ኹነታት ዝተፈለየት ሓፍትና ፍትሓትን መቃብርን ዝህግዝ ከምኡውን ንደቃ ካብቲ መቅተልቲ ዝተፈፀመሉ መንበሪ ናብ ኻልእ መንበሪ ገዛ ንምጥያሽን ዘድሊ ወፃኢ ንምሽፋን ደቃ አሕዋታ ፈተውቲታን ብGofundme ሒሳብ ተኽፊቱ ሐገዝ ይታአኻኸብ ስለዘሎ ብዝተኻአለኹም መጠን ሐገዝኹም አይፈለየና::
