Ernest's obituary
10/02/1947-10/30/2023
Preceded in death by parents, Ernest C. & Eva V. Silvas, Uncle Frank and Martin (Gloria) Silvas. He is survived by his son, Ernest Sears (Ernie Boy), Sister Patsy and Brother Arnold Silvas, nephews Chris & CJ, nieces Ciara & Danielle, Uncle Steve (Alice) Silvas, and his favorite Auntie Mary, along with many extended family members and close friends, who will miss him dearly.
Passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side, from a long battle of lung cancer. Growing up, he played in the little league, had top notch grades, and he also sang in the choir at Pueblo High School, Class of '65. He was an avid car and truck enthusiast. He was also known for his very smart how-to intellectual perspective and always gave the best advice. In his 20s, he survived a terrible car accident in California, which made him disabled, but he continued to live and love life. In the 70's and 80's, he worked at the Iron Pot for Uncle Chayo Palomarez, and the Santa Fe Bar & Grill for John & Cathy Kocis. He loved spending time with family & friends, especially during Wildcat season. He was always there for everyone who knew him and he made sure everyone was in good spirits. We will miss you very much until we meet again.
