In Loving Memory of Erik Jon Nordstrand

March 21, 1973 – January 11, 2025

Erik Jon Nordstrand, lovingly known as "Uncle Erik" and "Rog," passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2025, at the age of 51. His sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void, a profound absence that echoes in the hearts of his family and friends.

A graduate of St. Thomas Academy and the University of St. Thomas, Erik built a successful career in the IT industry as a computer consultant. His intelligence, creativity, and problem-solving skills were the cornerstones of his professional success. Erik’s dedication and expertise made a meaningful impact on everyone he worked with, inspiring them to strive for excellence.

Erik was the steady "rock" of his family and friends. Known for his wit, kindness, and generosity, he was always ready to help, guide, and bring laughter to those around him. His love for video games and technology was not just a hobby, but a passion that shaped both his career and personal life. Erik was also blessed with a loving community of neighbors in Inver Grove Heights, who enriched his life with their friendship and support.

Erik is survived by his loving girlfriend, Aida Pinero; his sister, Amy Jo Sik; her husband, Jeffrey; and his niece and nephew, Max and Clara Sik.  Erik was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jo and Ronald Nordstrand.

An informal Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, at 5:00 PM at Willwerscheid Funeral Home in West Saint Paul. On Wednesday, January 29, there will be a visitation at 9:00 AM, a funeral service at 10:00 AM, and a luncheon at Assumption Church in West Saint Paul, with a Private interment to follow for those who wish to attend.

Erik’s legacy of kindness, humor, and love will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time. May he rest in peace. 🕊️
