Eric's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eric Winn, who was born on March 7, 1975 in Portland, OR and passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2025. Eric was a beloved son, brother, father and stepfather.
Eric is survived by his father, Charles, mother, Marianne, brother, Scott (Kate), son Max and stepsons Pierce and Peyton. His unwavering love was evident in the devotion and care that he provided for his family.
Eric was a man of hard work, care, and love. In his 27-year long career as an investment banker, he diligently served with integrity and commitment. Prior to his professional success, Eric played football at the University of Oregon. Among his notable accomplishments were being a two-time Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Year and a two-year starting fullback. His dedication to excellence on and off the field was an inspiration to many who called him a teammate and a friend.
After Eric became Pierce and Peyton's stepdad, and later a dad to Max, he spent much of his free time skiing, golfing, coaching sports teams and cheering on the Oregon Ducks with the boys by his side. Being the best dad he could be was his biggest priority and greatest accomplishment.
A Celebration of Life for Eric will be held on September 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Portland Golf Club. This event will serve as an occasion for all who knew Eric to come together and commemorate his exceptional life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Concussion Legacy Foundation. You may contribute at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of…
