With fond memories and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eric Vandemark, who left this world on May 24, 2024, at the age of 57. Born in Springfield, Ohio on January 25, 1967, Eric was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. 

Eric graduated from Sunnyside high school and carried with him a lifelong appreciation of the great outdoors. His passions included hunting, fishing, riding his four wheeler, and playing with his dog -pursuits that brought him great joy and peace. Eric’s enthusiasm extended to telling his favorite jokes and cheering on his favorite football team, the Pittsburg Steelers. 

He is survived by his mother, Doris Vandemark; his brother, Tim Vandemark; his sister, Christine (Shawn) Tindle, and his dear nephews and nieces, Tim (Kelsey) Vandemark, Shawn Tindle Jr,  Kayla (Justin) Goss, Raeleana (Trevor) Olsen, Michaela Tindle, and Sharlan Tindle. Eric also leaves behind five great-nephews,  numerous cousins and countless friends who will all miss his infectious laughter. 

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Richard Vandemark; his brother, Richard Vandemark Jr.; and his sister in law, Martha Vandemark. 

A man of humor, kindness, and integrity, Eric’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He made a lasting impact on his family and friends and will be remembered for his generous heart and the happiness he brought to this around him. 

Eric’s absence leaves a void in the lives of his family and friends. But his joyous spirit and the memories he created will forever remain in our hearts.
