Final update (No longer accepting donations) 08/30/2021:
After having a final dinner with Mama Cho and Eric's cousin, Chris, who has been the primary source of contact/translation, Ms. Cho informed me that would be moving back to Korea. The donations were used towards a custom wind chime with Eric's photo at the bottom, a memorabilia locket with the engraved date and Eric's birthday, and later on, at my offer on her request, a 2-night stay in Las Vegas for her and her friends with hotel and parking fully paid. It was one of the last things I remember Eric told me about her mom, was that she enjoyed playing the slot machines, so I hope I was able to give his mom some comfort in his absence. She mentioned her that she didn't understand why I kept buying her stuff and explained that I know Eric would've done the same for me. And before parting ways, I wished her well and a safe trip back to Korea.
