Eric's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Eric Goldsberry, born on June 16, 1984, and departed from this world on December 5, 2023. A man characterized by his friendly, compassionate, caring, and loyal nature, Eric will be sorely missed by all he touched with his kindness and integrity.
Eric leaves behind his loving wife, Twila Goldsberry, his children; Beau, Ava Goldsberry, stepsons; Dustin Havens-York, Anthony York-Havens, his stepdaughter, Tiffany O'Dell, and his cherished grandchildren; Ashley Weathers and Ricky O'Dell. Eric shared a unique bond with his father, Gordon Goldsberry, and his brothers; Adam and Jason Goldsberry.
A true food lover, Eric savored Pizza, Mexican food, Chinese Food, and Five Guys. He enjoyed Coca Cola, and his taste for entertainment was clear with his favorite TV Shows being NCIS, WWE Monday Night Raw, WWE Smackdown, and AEW. The Green Bay Packers held a special place in Eric's heart. His favorite games were Liverpool rummy, and despite his tendency to cheat at Monopoly, no family gaming session was complete without him.
Eric cherished every moment he spent with his best friend and Son-In-Law Anthony, hunting with his father and brothers, and playing video games with his grandson Ricky. He held a fondness for swimming and the colors green and yellow. His favorite local spots were The Paducah riverfront, Noble Park, and Kentucky Dam, and he treasured the memories of the trips to the Southern Komfort campground with his family during summer.
Eric's legacy transcends his love for life's simple pleasures. He lived by the principle of enjoying every moment as if it were the last, and he passed this precious lesson onto others. Even his fur babies, who fondly accompanied him everywhere, will miss Eric's gentle presence.
Eric's life may have been short, spanning 39 years, but it was abundant with love, kindness, and unforgettable moments. He left behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and integrity that will live in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
