Eric's obituary
Born in Brown's Town, St Ann, Jamaica W.I. Eric migrated with his family to Hartford,Connecticut USA in 1967, eventually settling in South Florida in the Lauderdale Lakes area. He departed this life for a better place from natural causes , preceded by the love of life, Olive Joyce Deans, nee Simpson (d. July 1998).
He lead a colorful life, from a Police constable in the Jamaica Constabulary Force, to factory worker, self employed painter, restaurant owner and farmer.He managed to develop and maintain relationships with people from all walks of life, many becoming lifelong friendships. Strict but fair, jovial but serious he enjoyed life and did the best he could to care for his family.
He is survived by children Sharon Deans , Patrice Deans-Getto, Eric Deans Jr, Sonia Williams, Andrea Hunt-Delahaye and Olive McNaughton. Niece and nephews from his only sibling, older sister Ethel Anderson (d. May 2019). 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great-greats and 2 great-great-greats.
Due to the current pandemic in Florida, plans are on hold for a memorial celebration of his life. May his soul R.I.P.
