Eric A. Cheverie

September 13, 1951 – February 7, 2025

Eric A. Cheverie, age 73, of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025.

Born on September 13, 1951, to Arthur and Lila Cheverie. He was the loving partner of Mary Cheverie.  Eric lived a life marked by service, hard work, and deep love for his family. He proudly served his country as a vehicle and track mechanic in the U.S. Army’s 23rd Engineer Battalion. After his military service, Eric continued his dedication to hands-on work, spending many years as an electrician with GM and Harrison Radiators.

Eric is survived by his four children: Jeffrey Cheverie, Nicole Finkney, Owen Cheverie, and Chris Cheverie; by his two brothers, Donald and Brian Cheverie, and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A man of many passions, Eric enjoyed cars, the quiet peace of fishing, the challenge of a good game of golf, and the unique art of collecting vintage swords and knives. His love for animals, especially cats, was well-known among those close to him.

Eric’s warmth, wit, and unwavering dedication to his close loved ones will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. He will be forever loved and cherished.
