Eric Kenneth Buchannan

Born June 7, 1957; passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 19, 2024. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, and raised his children in Colorado.

Eric leaves behind four daughters, Ryanne, Becca, Tess, and Skyeler, and one son, Shaughn. Eric spent his life loving the simple things. There wasn’t a tree he couldn’t identify or a bird he couldn’t name. He traded iris colors with his neighbors.

Eric’s trademark was his Tilley Hat, adorned even (maybe especially) at special occasions. His children will tell you that his most special skill was his ability to make the best tea on the planet. His oldest daughters also fondly remember him reading all seven Harry Potter Books out-loud to them, with a unique voice for every character, using his other hidden talent of the ability to do voices and every accent under the sun.

Eric was a friend to anyone and everyone, with the gift of gab. He could make a friend in a line at the DMV. Towards the end of his life, he dealt with heart issues that lead him to be bound to home more and more. His neighbors still made sure to keep him and his chickens fed.
