Wow. I just googled Eric's name to see if I'd be able to find him again and found this. We were best buds through basic training in 1986 but we lost touch after that. Eric was one of the factors that helped me get through it and go on to become a soldier. He was always grinning and wisecracking no matter how stressful things got. I'm saddened to find out he's passed. I live on the other end of Iowa and it's too bad we never managed to connect again.

Eric was really humerus, a real jokester & also a real gentleman in everything he did. He had many lifetime friends; if you were a friend of his, then he'd go to the end of the earth to help you if you were struggling. He'll be forever loved and absolutely never forgotten. RIP Eric Coleman
