Jr.and my Dad Donnie Finney were very good friends he was my godfather though I haven't seen him for many many years I still thought about him a lot and I talked to James about him now and then very sad to hear his passing but I'm sure they're having a party in heaven with a lot of the old crew from Alexandria... Love you Junior ❤️❣️❤️
Although I did not see much of Roach in the last few years, he was a friend and I knew I could call and ask him for anything and if it could be done he would be there for me as a friend. I know he will rest in peace as he was a good man. Condolences to all the family. Love, Babs and Walt.
Unfortunately I didn't know my father growing up, I was 28 when I finally had the privilege of meeting this wonderful man. I didn't even know if he knew of my existence growing up. Then I come to find out he had had a picture of me that hung in his home for over 20 years. Within 20 minutes of his reading the letter I sent him of my existence, he was on the phone calling me. He hustled at work and made enough money to come meet me, 2 weeks later he was on a plane visiting me and my family here in Virginia. He excepted me from the moment we met. I will always love and respect my father. I was so Blessed to have been able to find an extension of my family. I am so thankful to have been able to know this man and proud to say he was my father. I will always love the fact he excepted me, he took me all around to meet our family. He made me feel special. Tho I didn't get to see him as often as I would of liked. I know he knew I loved him, and he loved me and my children. He truly will be missed.
