My Sister (Carmen Cortese Shimabukuro) and I (Alex Shimabukuro) are deeply saddened to inform you that our mother (Enelda Shimabukuro Davila) passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, 29 December 2021. As many of you know, she has been suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's for some time. We are relieved that her passing was peaceful and painless. We are coordinating for my mom’s memorial service to be conducted on Monday, January 3rd. More details will be provided soon. I would like to take this time to sincerely thank those who have texted or called us during this tragic day in my family. Your words have meant a lot to Carmen and me, as we are deeply saddened by the loss of our mother. Como muchos de ustedes saben, ella ha estado sufriendo de demencia y Alzheimer’s durante algún tiempo. Nos alivia que su fallecimiento fuera pacífico e indoloro.
