Emmett was one of my patients and often spoke of his family and how much he loved them. He was dedicated to providing a loving and supportive home for his sons. He was always a very expressive person and frequently told me how grateful he was for the care he received. I am so very sorry to learn that he died. I am glad to learn how much he was valued at Easter Seals and that he's able to continue supporting their work through donations in his honor. May his memory live on in his children, his spouse, and the many family, friends, and co-workers who's lives he touched.
My favorite memories of Emmett will always be the ones where we were laughing. Our weddings, family weddings, family Christmas celebrations, but one of the biggest was his graduation from SNHU. He was so proud and was confused on my lack of pride. I was so proud of him for graduating but was very bland about my own graduation. It was very endearing.

I have so many good memories of Emmett. Every year, I walked in the Stonewall Pride parade. And it was the highlight of my day to always see Emmett and his family watching the parade from the curb while they waived their flags and cheered. He was very devoted to the cause.

*NSYNC just came out. We were gifted the cassette and had it on repeat. Em and I shared a room and wanted to try a flip we saw *NSYNC perform on TV. It was supposed to be bedtime but we thought it would be the perfect time to try this flip out. I had a silk nightgown on. We get in position and I got scared. Em was focused. I wanted to see if it could be done. Em started and that’s when I freaked out my nightgown got caught on my leg. I ended up getting hurt from trying the flip. *NSYNC vs BSB will forever be a big memory with Em. Our rooms covered in pictures. Our stereos playing non stop. The fight over magazines. The fight over which member was the best. I’m going to miss it.
