In the months after your mom first died, I often thought of or saw something I wanted to share with her. Her love of feeding the birds and gardening were interests we shared. (She was much better at color matching flowers than I will ever be.) Although I miss her, and I know you do too, she has crossed over to be with those who loved her long ago, before any of us knew her,  feels no pain and is always happy.  We have that to hold onto.
I spent many fine gatherings at Leigh and Emma's home  and these were  very happy times.  Thanks for the memories.
In 1965 we bought a house across the street from Emma and Leigh.  As we had our children, they became, and still are, close friends.  The Housemans' were incredible gardeners and inspired us to plant a couple of tomato plants.  They grew like the Beanstalk and bore incredible tomatoes, no thanks to anything we did, but to the soil that was right above the leech field!  But Emma said "you need to join the garden club!"  I did, and it changed my life.  I will always be grateful to Emma for that simple invitation.  She was an incredible floral designer, I was always in awe of her.  Our 2 families had a booth at the 4th of July celebration for several years, such fun!  We danced disco together among other things!   Such wonderful memories.  I'm so sad that she is gone.

Kristina, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Much love and strength sent to you and your family.
Emms was a dear and thoughtful friend. I will miss her daily phone calls as will others whom she kept close with phone coversations when she could no longer drive.

I am so sorry to hear of Emma's passing. She was a beloved cousin and a great influence on me as a child. She was a beautiful, talented lady. ❤️
