I was the foster home in Kentucky, for Josie, Emily's adopted dog. She lived w me from about 10 weeks old until she was adopted by Emily 7 mo later. Emily often sent pictures and updates on how they were doing as a "family." That is a priceless gift to we rescuers, knowing that our foster-furbies are loved and are treasured. Emily was that and more for Josie. I am grateful her family has stepped up to continue to love "our" girl. I miss Emily and her pictures of she and Josie.
I still think about Emily all the time. She was my chief and she was amazing. She was so supportive and warm. I’m thinking about her today because it was a year ago I last communicated with her. I miss her but know her life was beautiful and will always be celebrated.

I'll never forget our surgical rotation third year of medical school. I was freaked out. Although Emily and I did not know each other well at the time, she told me that we will get through it together. She was there for me through the freezing early mornings, late nights and all the stress. She even invited me into her home where I joined the Reeves family for home cooked gourmet foods and pet therapy by the fire. Befriending her was a bright spot in a really dark time of my life. I am so sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry for your loss. We all at OCRA are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and sending you our condolences. We are so grateful for your support to OCRA's mission during these difficult times. We are all here for you if you need anything.
This is heartbreaking news. Myself and my wife Elisabeth Losito were a year above Emily in pediatric residency. She was an incredibly smart, compassionate, diligent and tenacious resident and I'm sure she was an amazing Attending after graduation. This is a huge loss to the Baltimore community and the world at large. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, colleagues and patients. We have donated to Reach Out and Read in her honor.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Emily and I were friends at Duke and then reconnected last year over our (way too young) cancer diagnoses. I am heartbroken that she has passed, but feel very lucky to have known such a kind and intelligent woman.
Emily has been a virtual mentor me for the past 6 years or so. I am currently a medical resident with albinism, and I was connected to Emily while I was in medical school. It was Emily who told and showed me that I could be successful in pediatrics--and for that I am forever grateful, as well as the little tips she had for me along the way. Just knowing that she had already overcome the challenges I was experiencing was comforting, and she was always very generous with her time and advice. I will surely miss her <3
I enjoyed working with Emily at GBMC. I remember her zest for life. She was an excellent pediatrician and coworker. I’m so lucky to have known her.
I’m so sorry for your loss! I remember meeting Emily when we all shared New Year’s together and she was just started her pre-med program in what must have been 2005. Liz always spoke so highly of her. Please accept my condolence.
Beth and Jim, I remember Emily when she was a little girl!! She radiated beauty and brains. She was always smiling!!
She will be greatly missed ... but her pain is
over. May she rest in peace
I am sincerely sorry for your loss and I pray a peaceful heart for you all!

Emily was one of our best friends and the nicest person you could ever meet. We will always cherish the fun times with her! We will miss her greatly, but she will always be our inspiration. Sending love to her and her family.
I am so privileged to have met and worked with Emily. Through her fight she continued to take care of patients and had a positive attitude that was contagious. I will greatly miss her!! My thoughts and prayers are with you all
I was so lucky to have gotten to spend a few years knowing Emily. She was honest and hardworking and hilarious and I am so happy I could count her as a friend and now can think back on my (too-few) memories with her. We'll miss you so much, Emily.
We’re very sorry for your loss. Emily was a great friend to Anna and she will be missed.
Dear Beth, Jimmy, and Lizzy, far too many years have gone by since I’ve seen you or spoken with you. I am deeply sorry for your loss of Emily!! I am in continual prayer for you. “The Lord is watching between you and Emily while you are absent one from another.” Love you! Ed Bobbitt
Dear Beth, Jimmy and Lizzy
May the Lord our God always be with you, surround you with His love and fill you with His peace. Emily will always reside in your hearts and those who loved her, which were many.

Pat, Earle and E.R.
