Emily's obituary
Emily and her husband Jim Redmon married in 1964 and together raised their total of 10 children. She spent a lifetime caring for others including running her own Adult Foster Care Home in Gobles, Michigan for many years.
In retirement, they found themselves back in Trenary where they made their home for the last 20+ years. Emily enjoyed working in her gardens, playing the guitar and singing, and of course taking care of her large family. She was always someone who was there to talk to and gave all her love to everyone.
Emily is survived by her husband James F. Redmon, her sister Alice Morin, her children Lorri Redmon, Cindy (Terry) Dickerson, Vern (Linda) Richmond, Cathy (Chris) Whitney, Judy (Barry) McCreary, Stephen (Betty) Jarchow, Susie Redmon. Her 24 grandchildren Emi (Andy), Jordan, Tristan, J.D., Zee, Faith, Gracie (Tim), Fritz (Stephanie), Mandy, Judy (Don), Jack (Lisa), Joe, Anthony (Terri), Matthew (Rachael), Chrissy (Braden), D.J. (Cris), Ronnie (Alicia), Melissa (Mark), Herbie, Stephen, Justin, Aaron (Brianna), Emily (Dusty), Jamie, her 25 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Emily is proceeded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, and her sons Dale Richmond, Lawrence Richmond and James Redmon.
Emily was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her steadfast faith and love for God was an inspiration and example to us all. In lieu of flowers or gifts, her family has set up this donation link for Riverside SDA church, in honor of her memory.
