Dear family and friends of Emily,

On September 30th, 2024 our dear Em passed away in the hospital in San Francisco in the loving arms of her mother Alisyn and her father Dave. Emily was at peace for the last 11 days of her mortal life, surrounded by her parents, her siblings and their spouses, and a couple of very close friends. Although we are so heartbroken, we are grateful for the peace and love that we felt at her bedside.

Please know that while we grieve and mourn, we do feel your love for Emily and for our family members in addition to the love of our Heavenly Parents and our Savior Jesus Christ. It is very comforting to know that Emily passed from our arms to theirs. Your messages, emails, and calls have strengthened us, as have the meals, treats, flowers, and notes. We have also been blessed by many acts of love and service that we know of and, likely, some that we don't. We deeply appreciate all that has been done and will be done on our behalf. It feels impossible to adequately thank all of you for what you have done to support us.

At the end of her life, Emily was able to be an organ and tissue donor. It was her wish to help others in this way if she could, and the timing of her passing made it possible for her organs to help three recipients. We pray for those Emily was able to help and their families.

There will be a service for Emily on Saturday, November 16th. We invite you to join with us in remembering and honoring her life.
