Emily's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Emily Bensinger on September 15, 2024. Emily was born on November 24, 1996, into a family that cherished her from her earliest moments.
Emily's spirit and devotion in life were infectious, with a personality best described as warm, loving, caring, passionate and fun. Her radiant energy and profound dedication to assisting those in need will be remembered by all who knew her.
Her guiding wisdom, "If you're gonna do it, do it with 100% effort!" was not merely a maxim she shared but a principle she lived by every day. It has left an indelible impression on the hearts of those who knew her and will continue to inspire all who carry on her memory.
Her passion for service led her to a fulfilling career as an EMT in several states, where she made a significant impact on countless lives. Her achievements included graduating from Union College with a Bachelor's in International Rescue and Relief, volunteering with the Red Cross, and dedicating her time to missionary work on the Ivory Coast.
Emily not only believed, but lived every day to show, that nothing is too small to care about with all your heart. Her compassion resonated deeply with all who were touched by her life.
Emily is survived by her partner, Cal Haveman, her mother, Linda Bensinger, and her father, Jim Bensinger. They, along with the countless individuals whose lives were enriched by Emily’s generosity, will remember her with love and gratitude.
Emily's loss is deeply felt, and she will be dearly missed. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful and impactful life she led. Her radiant spirit, impressive accomplishments, and unwavering dedication to helping others will forever be etched in our hearts.
