Emil's obituary
Emil "Bob" Mansat, departed this life on May 18, 2024, following a full and generous life that began on November 5, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. A man of immeasurable strength, humor, and kindness, Emil was an incredible individual whose legacy will be remembered for generations.
Emil leaves behind his loving wife, Kwan Mansat. Additionally, his daughter Erika Mansat and Emile's sisters, Patricia Frost and Dianne Wentworth, survive him. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew: Lorainne Frost, Dawn Wentworth, and Philip Wentworth. Emil will be lovingly remembered by his cherished granddaughters Kiaa and Gia, his many grandnephews and grandniece, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Marguerita ("Margaret") (Sanchez) Mansat and Ernest (Emile/"Emil") Mansat.
A man of many passions and talents, Emil found joy in the simplicity of activities such as working with the land, maintaining his fruit trees, and restoring properties. He derived great satisfaction from his love of architecture, the practice of Karate, his devotion to animal welfare, and his commitment to preserving traditional Hawai'i. Emil's incomparable personality was marked by his kindness, generosity, adventurous spirit, bravery, determination, and focus. He believed in finding optimism and humor in every situation and lived life full of vigor and fearlessness.
Emil took immense pride in his marriage of 15 years, the animals that he rescued and adopted, and the many homes he purchased and restored. Those who knew him well often marveled at the depth of his giving nature. Emil was a man who found his spiritual home in Hawai'i, had a fondness for classic/vintage films, the ocean, and geography. He possessed a strong aesthetic sensitivity which he credited to his father, Emil. His gentle heart was a credit to his adored mother, Margaret.

Emil's absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and the many animals that he cared for throughout his life. His memory will forever serve as a source of inspiration and courage to those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
