Ember Jensen, 24, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on 3/23/2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ember was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Ember graduated from Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where they were both a scholar and athlete. They graduated with academic honors and played both volleyball and lacrosse.

Ember was currently a Senior at Indiana University majoring in Social and Historical Sciences with a minor in Gender Studies. They were a passionate activist for social justice. Ember enjoyed hiking, rock climbing and was a talented artist.

They are survived by parents, Shelly and Tracy Ryman and Michael and Leah Jensen, and Grandmother Sherry Andes. They are also survived by siblings Katelyn Cahill (Trevor), Mackenzie Jensen (Austin Smith), Kerrigan Jensen and Kellan Jensen. They are also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a small service for immediate family members. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Mother Hubbard’s Pantry in Bloomington, Indiana. A celebration of Embers life will be forthcoming.
