I am so grateful that I was able to call Em my colleague and friend. They helped me building my program database! They were so knowledgable, patient and kind. Most of all, they understood why we work in birth equity and was an incredible advocate.

Scout was an incredible person and I do not have the words to express that enough. I didn’t know them well, but I watched them dedicate their time to helping others in the short time that I knew them.

I first met Scout online a few months ago when they began volunteering with our online harm reduction non-profit. It was a pleasure to get to know them and they taught me a lot about mutual aid, harm reduction, and helping others. They were extremely kind & caring, intelligent, and so confident in unapologetically being themself. It was an honour to be friends with them.

 Scout was always trying to help others, as they had dedicated so much of their life to doing. They saved lives in the short time I knew them, including the life of a mutual close friend who was struggling. Since their death, numerous other members of our online community have shared stories of how Scout helped them overcome struggles with mental health & addiction.
