Eloy's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eloy Cervantes Solano on March 21, 2025, at the age of 103. Born on January 25, 1922, in the beautiful region of Oaxaca, Mexico, Eloy lived a life rich in love, resilience, and dedication that spanned over a century.

Eloy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who touched the lives of many through his unwavering spirit and kindness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Balbina Cervantes Camacho.

Eloy was a proud father to six children: Cidro, Pedro, Lilia, Reyna, Jose Antonio, and MariLuz. He was ALWAYS instilling in them the values of hard work, and respect. His legacy lives on through his children, as well as his grandchildren: Cathy, Liliana, Jose Antonio Jr., Christian, and Joanna, who fondly remember their grandfather. Eloy was also a great-grandfather to Andrea, Anna, Olivia, and Elijah.

Eloy’s life was marked by his devotion to his family and his commitment to hard work. He was an agricultural worker, embodying the spirit of perseverance that characterized his generation. His involvement in the Barcero Program exemplified his dedication to serving his community and seeking better opportunities for his family. Eloy faced challenges with determination and grace, qualities that inspired all who knew him.

In his later years, Eloy settled in Panorama City, California, where he continued to cultivate deep connections within his community. He was known for his warm smile and gentle demeanor, and he treasured the friendships and relationships he developed along the way.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Eloy’s life and legacy, reflecting the values he held dear throughout his years. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him.

Eloy Cervantes Solano lived a life full of love, integrity, and purpose. As we remember him, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, resilience, and family unity. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love he cherished so deeply.
