I am so sorry A.J. and Brian. We had a wonderful 7 years, and I count her as one of the 8 people in my life that I truly loved. Also, I will always be grateful and honored for knowing you.
Eloise was a brilliant expert in federal contracting with an amazing capacity for kindness and wisdom as a mentor and friend to me and other women in her field. My condolences to her family. She is keenly missed. Tracey Lewis
She was more than just a boss, she was a friend. She was funny and fun to be with, she was fiercely loyal and would do anything for the people she cared about. There was nothing better than an Eloise hug. I am sorry, Amy and Brian, I know you must be devastated by this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom. Rest in peace, dear, sweet Eloise.
I remember the first time I met Eloise. She took time out of her busy day to meet my husband Mitch and I for lunch as we were curious who had the “moffet1” email address at LLNL as we were “moffet2” and “moffet3” (it was rare for us to find someone with the same spelling). Turns out there is no relation but it was fun to talk about our family stories. Next thing you know she hired me into Procurement. She was wonderful to work for and had such a spunky, fun, caring personality. My prayers go out to you Amy & Brian and families.
Amy, Brian & family—I was so shocked and saddened by her death. We were friends from high school, reconnected later in life, and talked often by phone sharing politics, current events and life in general. She was smart, funny and profane, but above all, she was so proud of both of you and her grandkids. I hope you will find joy in good memories of your Mom as I will. Becky Cowgill Harwick
So many great memories of a lady 'with the biggest heart'----would go to the ends of the earth for someone in need, whether or not a friend, but especially for friends and their families!! I know from first hand experience----we worked together in Idaho and then again in California! So, this brought many personal times together with the inclusion of our families! My heart breaks for you Brian and Amy and your family and friends-----please remember the good times and her huge heart! Love y'all----from Dee Bailey and family
So sorry to hear of Eloise passing. I always remember having good interactions with any procurement issues that came up throughout the years at LLNL. Thoughts and prayers are with you Amy and your family at this difficult time.
Oh my gosh, I can't believe that she is really gone. My Prayers and condolences to you Amy and Brian. Your Mom was fierce and smart at work but very fair, she was also very caring and fun to be around. She will truly be missed by many. Hang on to all of your happy memories to help you get through your loss. God Bless you and your families.
I'm truly saddened to hear of Eloise's passing. My prayers to her family and friends. I worked with Eloise during my final years at LLNL. While we often found ourselves on opposing sides of internal political issues, she always treated me fairly, absent any political prejudice. We actually grew to became good friends. I always respected her and as I got to know her I found her to be a very caring lady with a huge heart. I'm sure she left our world a much better place for her many contributions! She will be missed.
Eloise was my first boss I ever had right out of college. What a force of nature she was. That blonde hair, smart and tough as nails. A great influence on me to see a strong woman leader which was rare back then. Over the years she became a friend and I got to know the warm, kind, and funny side of her. Always a powerful force. My condolences to her family, esp Amy.
I remember Eloise when she first came to Butte High School in Arco, Idaho. I was the Supt of Schools when she graduated. We were active in the same church with she and her Mom. Eloise was a delightful and bright young lady. It always makes me sad to lose my former students so early.
Eloise was my friend and my boss. If there ever was a “glass ceiling breaker” it was she. She would tell you how it was and she could be touch as nails. But if you knew her you also knew she had as heart as big all outdoors and helped everyone within her reach, including me.
I remember Eloise from her very early beginnings at LLNL Procurement Dept. We talked prior to her 1st interview for a job in the Dept. She was anxious because she forgot to pack her whole 'interview' suit. She arrived well put together and easily gained the confidence of all who talked with her. She most always came out on top. RIP.
