Ellis Herbert Ghee was born to Minnie Lee (Ghee) Fooks and the late Earl Randolph Ghee Sr. in Baltimore at City Hospital on October 28, 1956 and graduated from Walbrook High School. Ellis always deemed himself as an entrepreneur. He had a carpet cleaning business, was a maintenance supervisor, had his own hot dog stand and distributed various snacks. He also worked at Capital beverage.
