I'm a little late to the news, but I'm sorry to hear about Elliott!!! I miss our high school days when we hung out. Always considered him a great friend who confided in me.  I've come so close to crossing paths with him on the west coast but nothing ever lined up perfectly, wish I didn't have to say goodbye...

Favorite Elliott Memories
Shortly after Kathryn and Elliott became friends, we invited him to go to the beach with us on our family’s summer vacation. Elliott, never one to shy away from an adventure, agreed to go with us. It being a 2-day car trip, it required lots of snacks and entertainment. Elliott joined good-naturedly in the car games, reading and snacking, but most remarkably to me was when Creedence Clearwater Revival came up on our CD player. He burst forth full-throatedly with “oooah Susie Q …..oooh Susie Q…” and continued to sing along at the top of his lungs. It got everyone revved up and we all joined in singing many of the CCR tunes.

Another Elliott story which is famous in Fischer family stories occurred one winter when the lake froze over. The lake had frozen perfectly, where there was a good solid, slick ice layer, topped by 5-6 inches of snow. Kathryn, Elliott and siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles spent a lot of time shoveling a skating rink and paths on the lake. They made candle lanterns for a night-time spectacular scene. AND, Elliott introduced us to Broom Ball! The Broom Ball and the ice lanterns continue to be the highlights of a memorable Christmas vacation in our family.

I have been looking for a darling photo of little L-et (as Courtney first called Elliott) sitting in his cardboard box car he proudly helped me make. He loved to sit in it at the “drive-in” to watch Sesame Street in our living room. Alas, I haven’t found it.

My favorite memory is of Elliott & Ryan, probably around 10 or 11 years old,  taking their sleds out on a snowy day, opening all the garage doors at your house, starting at the top of your driveway, & running their sleds down the driveway, through the garage, through the little back garage door, down the back yard & into the creek bed in the woods. They had so much fun that day and it makes me smile to hear their maniacal laughter. Those boys were so wild💚

Best memories about this guy involve always going to a sushi restaurant for my birthday in elementary school! We were best friends! We had sleepovers and visits to Kings Island. We even had special nicknames!
