Ellen Swinger (Carpenter), 92, passed away on March 17th surrounded by loved ones. She was born on her family's farm in Radnor, Ohio and devoted her life to her family and community. She was a retired teacher in the Ohio Public School System, and was dedicated to enriching the lives of her students. She believed that she could reach every student, and saw teaching as a way to give all children an opportunity to thrive.

Ellen was beloved by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them to play piano, baking together, and taking them on fun adventures. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and jazz music. A loving and wonderful woman until the very end, she will be greatly missed.
