Ellen's obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Strouth, who left us on August 31, 2025. Born in the year of 1940, her radiant spirit and zest for life left a beautifully lasting impression on all who knew her.
Ellen will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, and is remembered with utmost love by her many grandchildren, whom she considered her greatest accomplishment in life. Ellen was known for her warm, witty, and loving personality, always demonstrating kindness in her interactions with others. She believed strongly in the principle of treating others with kindness, a lesson she imparted to all the lives she touched.
A lifetime attendee at the Holy Family Parish, Ellen's spiritual dedication was a cornerstone of her existence. She was also highly involved with The Red Hat Society, where she applied her organizational skills and passion for community engagement. Her favorite recreational activities included spending time with her fellow members at Red Hat Society, providing ample opportunity for bonding, learning, and laughter.
Ellen deeply cared about animal welfare, contributing to meaningful causes such as ASPCA. Inspired by the simplicity yet powerful expression of piano music, she often sought solace in its soothing rhythms. Red was the color that best reflected her vivacious and dynamic personality, a symbolic testament to her lively spirit.
The viewing for Ellen will be held at Ellen's home on September 7, 2025, at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and September 8 , 2025, at 6:00 AM until 8:00 AM. This will be followed by a funeral service on September 8, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Strouth family cemetery on the same day. This will be a private service for close family and friends.
Though she is no longer with us, Ellen's unwavering love, wisdom, and positive energy remain a beacon of hope and strength for us all. We celebrate her life and achievements, knowing that her legacy of love and kindness endures in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
