Throughout her life, she loved well and embraced everyone who crossed her path. Her faith in God and deep belief in his pursuit of her own heart and life led her to leave space for extravagant love and faith conversations throughout her life.
Ellen loved the smell of lilac in the spring, purple and lilac irises and the taste of strawberries in early summer. One of her favorite life scriptures is shared below.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
